Bishop Reding's Car Club

Car Club is a teacher led extra-curricular activity at Bishop Reding. Every Tuesday after school from 2:30 to 4pm, students are welcomed to learn about and work on transportation related activities of interest in a less regimented atmosphere.

Car Club is open to ALL Bishop Reding students, beginning in late September, and lasting all school year long. Requirements for joining are a parent-signed permission form, and successful achievement in the Auto Shop Safety Test.

Students currently enrolled in Transportation Technology courses are welcomed to use Car Club time to catch up on theory and practical assignments.

All members are taught a range of different repair and maintenance techniques for cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles. Car Club members also engage in discussions related to new vehicle systems and careers in the auto industry.

The Car Club has currently begun a restoration project to represent Student Success initiatives and will be appropriately named the BR Spirit Car. Dubbed "Project Eclipse", the old Mitsubishi will undergo a two year restoration and represent school spirit and teamwork for the students of Bishop Reding and the SHSM Transportation Program. Please click on the Project Eclipse link for updates on this special Car Club project.
